Ed Rebele's firm understanding of college bound students' advising needs comes from his 7 years working with students as a guidance professional, and 10 years working as a teacher.
What was most missing for him when he transitioned to us at Jo Leonard, LLC., was "really getting to know the students individually, so that I can give them more attention and customized college and career direction. This is my real passion and I'm enjoying that aspect of working for Jo the most." He loves researching schools, and teaching students how to do effective research before they put their Smart List together. He's organized and thorough, and has an assertive but friendly approach when it comes to overseeing student's applications.
As a guidance counselor for South Brunswick Board of Education in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey he advised 260 students regarding academic and social issues, provided college and career counseling to students in grades 9-12, and regularly visited colleges and universities.
Having graduated from Rider University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Ed decided to continue his education at Rutgers University where he received a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology. He has worked on the financial aid process with many families and comes equipped with tremendous resources for his clients.
